Law & Order: Criminal Intent - Vincent D'Onofrio

Ep. 1.3 - "Smothered" - 10/14/01

Meh - it's hard to offer a comparison of seasonal bloating when I'm trying to watch the shows in chronological order. Well, at least for season one, I really wanted to see how VDO ramps up the "Goren" quirks. Right now, he's more a regular detective who is super smart and he pauses to assess people but he still speaks normally, mostly. I'm waiting for the really awkward, almost stumbling pattern of speech.

Plot-wise, it's a standard overbearing rich mother issue. However, it's funny watching Erbe's "Eames" getting slightly annoyed and surprised by "Goren's" smarts. Waiting for the moment she decides she can't deal working with him and when she changes her mind.

Yay for cable.
