Went to Starbucks for my usual Venti Bold and was beaten to the line by this old gent. As I lined up behind him, I realized - he SMELLED. Not quite b.o. but more like... mothballs. I figured well he's old; surely he took it out of storage or something. Then I noticed the back left shoulder was stained. Um, yeah.
Walking down the street towards work. There the nose of a big semi blocking part of the sidewalk. No big as there is more than enough room to swerve around in front and not be in traffic. But the driver backed up the truck just for me. I lifted my Venti as a sign of thanks.
Oh, so last night, saw the most random act by a driver. We were heading South on Bundy approaching a red so as we slowed down, we saw a large black SUV swerve quickly from the left lane into the right lane. He stopped short next to the Passat that was in front of him, then THREW SOMETHING that smashed into bit on the ground. It was so quick, I couldn't tell if whatever it was actually hit the car or not. The driver of the Passat looked incredulous. Then the SUV drove away by making a right at the light. He turned normally then switched lanes and peeled out. I was so shocked that I didn't think to get the license plate down. I sort of wish I had. But I was reminded by my lovely s.o. that the police would probably ask if anyone was hurt and if there was any damage? Once we said no, it'd be a quick click. All musings, but I'm pretty sure that is how it would have played.
Not sure what is possessing me to write all this down. Maybe the fact it's Friday and I'm happy for it. And maybe because I'm behind on my stories so I have no reviews. Actually, I take that back.
We watched LOST. Not much to review. It was one of those episodes where a lot of stuff happens, yet nothing happens. (Those who watch LOST know what I mean. Well, at least you should know what I mean by that nonsensical bit.) Basically, there is a lot of physical movement and the characters go places and talk, but none of the action really moves the overall storyline forward. You can disagree with me but I didn't get too into it, so that's my take. (Granted I was a tad preoccupied at the time but whatever man.)
I plan to catch up on LIFE tonight or sometime this weekend. And NBC skipping out on 30 ROCK for the ER finale? WTFE man.
