I am digging:
MODERN FAMILY
This has Ed O'Neill who I have loved since he played "Al Bundy" so this was a must watch for me. Learning it was a Steven Levitan show only boosted it up from there, not to mention the positive reviews. I like it so far, but the winner of the show has to be the crazy "I think I'm so hip" dad, Ty Burrell. Actors that can make the tragically lame a believable character means they've got mad skills.
COMMUNITY
One of my faves so far. All I have to say is: Joel McHale and Ken Jeong and really wacky crazy characters as the norm in this show. Last ep - a community college that erected a statue to Luis Guzman for being its most famous alumnus? Awesome.
GLEE
I wasn't sure how well the show could go on with a bunch of singing and dancing, but this has been a pleasant surprise. I guess I'm a sucker for the nerdy underdogs, but strong performances from the cast is a real winner. And the constant '80s music being played and sung throughout? Who could hate that?
30 ROCK - thank gawd it's back on!
The whole bit about the pages getting their OT cut yet the uber execs get their millions in bonuses? Yeah, that really hit home since that is EXACTLY the crap that gets pulled at such corporations that constantly talk about the "company" needing to cut back so they take from the lowly and destitute but gawd forbid they take a cut in their BONUS checks (not even counting their paychecks).
ASSHOLES. All of 'em. And at least "Jack Donaghy" has some soul and charisma. The jerks I knew didn't even have that much.
