Eating in Paris

Bon appetit! My favorite phrase while in Paris (or anytime I am traveling).

This lovely dish was courtesy of Mlle. Charlotte and her beau Roman (sp?) at Chez Mon Plaisir.

We were running more than half an hour late for our 13:15 reservation, but they still let us in and we had quite the meal.

While the promise of prawns looked more like shrimp, it didn't disappoint in flavor or in preparation. However, the highlight had to be the risotto in squid ink which had to be the richest and most buttery side dish of rice I have ever eaten. The side was small enough you'd think it wouldn't be satisfying, but any more than given of such a rich dish would have been butter overkill. C'etait tres delicieux.

We shared a lovely bottle of red and some good conversation and a walk in the cold in the park. Yay.
