DO pay attention to the road (I'd even label this as Rule #1)
DON'T do your makeup, talk to your stupid friends, read the paper, eat your McD's no matter how good it is (except at a Red Light is semi-ok except it goes back to Rule #1 - PAY ATTENTION so when it's about to turn GREEN, stop what you're doing and just drive!).
DO stop behind the white lines painted for the crosswalks. There is NO reason to wait in the middle of the crosswalk while people walk around your car (as they think about keying it for being a jackass).
DO know the dimensions of your vehicle so you are not straddling the dotted white lines of a two lane road because you are afraid of parked cars.
DON'T think you can merge into the next lane JUST because you turned on your blinker.
The idea is to merge in WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. No one HAS to let you in.
DON'T try to merge into the other lane at the last minute because you need to make a left/right turn. If you know you have to turn soon, plan ahead.
The road wasn't made for you to decide you can stop all traffic because your lame @$$ can't think about things in advance.
